I recently discovered that I have quite a large fabric stash that I can't seem to cut into. The fabrics are just so pretty that the thought of cutting them makes me sad. In talking with my fellow quilting friends I learned that not only is this ok, but it is actually very, very normal. Who knew??? So now I am in the process of sorting through my stash. I have two categories: 1. My stash - which I fully intend to use... someday and 2. My new fabric "collection" -which I probably won't use because either A) they are too pretty to be cut into or B) I bought them on a whim because they are so pretty, but really I have no use for them.
Another good thing came from going through my stash. I found these beautiful Garden Party charm packs and I know exactly what I am going to do with them. I will show you soon!
With my new found knowledge of the difference between a collection and a stash I can keep purchasing guilt free! I just hope my husband understands the obvious need for both a stash and a collection!

Pony Express Days Quilt Show & Auction
This is my baby quilt donation for the Quilt Show and Silent Auction during Pony Express Days in Eagle Mountain, UT. All proceeds go to benefit The Cure Starts Now Foundation for children’s pediatric cancer research. What a great cause! Plan to attend the Quilt Show May 26-28 to vote for your favorite quilt and purchase great items. (Seriously, you should go - I have seen some of the awesome stuff!)
My family is so excited for Pony Express Days, there are tons of fun events taking place. I can't decide what to do first! You can find out more about it here.
